 * Hi everyone, I have seen this error pop up in two areas of my WordPress site.
The first is when trying to create a new menu using QuadMenu. I keep getting
an error that reads “can not insert the term into the database”. I originally
thought the error was related to QuadMenu however, I encountered the same menu
when trying to create a new category for my posts. Thank you to everyone’s suggestions

 * Maybe your database is somewhat corrupt. Try repairing it: [https://www.a2hosting.com/kb/cpanel/cpanel-database-features/optimizing-and-repairing-mysql-databases-with-phpmyadmin](https://www.a2hosting.com/kb/cpanel/cpanel-database-features/optimizing-and-repairing-mysql-databases-with-phpmyadmin)
 * If that doesn’t help, contact your host as there may be server-level issues.

 * In general, this message often comes from a column not being set to auto-increment.
 * Have you changed anything in your database?
Have you merged content or data
together from more than one source/website?

 * Hi everyone – thank you both for your responses.
 * I can try to repair the broken database or change a column to auto-increment
however (I am not the most tech-savvy), I’m not sure as to which table to check
   for errors.

 * You can run the Repair on all of them – it will take you a minute or two, and
will not do any damage if there is nothing to repair :

 * Check the Structure of your tables, and look for the auto-increment :
