# Error clearing the cache

 * Anyone can help me with this?
    Using the plugin Quick Cache at the same time,
   but was never an issue before. I deactivated it, but the error still occurred.
   Clearing the cache was not a problem before…
 * A total of 1 errors occurred while trying to clear your cache. The last error
   was: Could not create a lock file /mnt/weba/d0/00/0000000/htdocs/website.de/wp-
   content/wfcache/clear.lock to clear the cache.

 * So the only caching you have right now is the quick cache, right?
 * I ask because the wfcache folder, I think, belongs to our cache engine.

 * Yes, right now I only use Quick Cache for caching. There is also the Wp-Optimize
   plugin installed, but I don’t think this matters

 * Try updating to the newest version of wordfence. We have a fix for some of these
   issues and I want to see if this corrects it.

   code appeared.

 * I’m getting the same error. Any ideas?

    A total of 1 errors occurred while trying
   to clear your cache. The last error was: Could not create a lock file /home8/
   purchau4/public_html/community-staging/releases/20150401190721/content/wfcache/
   clear.lock to clear the cache.

 * Oh, I figured it out. It turns out that I hadn’t completed the WordFence cache
   set up steps, so the caching hadn’t actually been turned on yet!
 * Hope that helps someone else.
