# Error Database Restore

 * Good evening UpdraftPlus community,
 * I’m reaching out to you tonight with a serious problem that’s really getting 
   me down.
 * Let me give you some context:
    - I created my entire website using the hosting system domain from Ionos.
    - I made backups of all the elements using Updraft Plus.
    - I wanted to restore my site from my domain louermonsitev2.live-website.com
      to my domain louermonsite.com.
    - I installed WordPress on the new domain, then installed Updraft Plus and restored
      all the elements from the backup.
 * Now, I’m left with an inaccessible site, showing “Error establishing a database
   connection,” and when I enter the old database connection data that is still 
   with my host, I get “Prefix database is empty.” When I enter the “WP” prefix,
   it takes me to the WordPress site creation page…
 * I no longer understand what’s happening, and I’m lost… Can someone help me?

 * To help us work out the cause of your problem, can you please send us a copy 
   of the migration log?
   You can find this log in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory
   of your new site location.You can send the log file as an attachment or copy 
   the contents into an online tool (such as [http://pastebin.com/](http://pastebin.com/))

 * Hi,
 * Thank you for sharing the log. It shows that the restoration was successful. 
   Can you check if your wp-config.php has the correct database details? You can
   also check [this tutorial](https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-error-establishing-a-database-connection-in-wordpress/)
   I found online. I hope it helps.
