# error during theme activation

 * When I try to activate the theme, I obtain this error message:
 * > Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /web/htdocs/www.spinoweb.
   > com/home/blog341/wp-content/themes/zerif-lite/inc/jetpack.php on line 1

 * Hi,
 * Did you use FTP to install the theme to your server? If yes then your FTP software
   messed up the mark up of the file.
 * In that case, please delete the theme from /wp-content/themes/ folder and then
   install it using the Theme Installer, following this tutorial: [http://docs.themeisle.com/article/4-how-to-install-wordpress-themes](http://docs.themeisle.com/article/4-how-to-install-wordpress-themes)
