# Error Exporting

 * Hi, I want to export the contact form database to Excel, tried several options
   on the Contact form DB window and didn’t work. When i click the export button
   a page load and only show the number “0”. The data base have a couple of fields
   so it shouldn’t show 0.
 * Is there a solution for this?
 * Would appreciate your help guys, thanks!

 * I’m not sure what the problem is.
 * Try this:
    – Go to the CFDB ShortCode page – Select a form – Select Export file
   for Excel The page creates a URL for you. – Copy the URL and paste into your 
   browser Is the result any different? Do you see any errors?

 * That is helpful. I think you are using [WPML](https://wpml.org/) and that is 
   causing a problem with the URLs. The same issue just came on this thread: [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/export-error-with-language?replies=2](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/export-error-with-language?replies=2)

 * I think the problem is that you are running PHP less than version 5.4. The Excel
   export code won’t work with less than 5.4. The official recommended version to
   run WordPress is now PHP 5.6. Try upgrading your site to PHP 5.6.

 * Hi Michael,
    PHP 5.5 installed on hosting could be version issue. But other features
   working fine like .CSV. So I have installed

 * This extension at-least full fill over minimal requirement with out excel export.

 * The rest of the plugin should work. Just the Excel export function requires a
   new PHP.
 * If you are going to install an older version, I suggest install 2.9.15, not the
   release candidate (2.9.15RC1).
