 * I am moving my blog to another hosting provider and am having problems loading
   the backup database. I am trying to import WP data that was saved as a dump through
   phpMyAdmin (ver. 2.9.1.1). The MySQL for the dump was (ver. 5.0 or 5.0.45). I
   am trying to move the database to another server that is using MySQL client (
   ver. 4.1.21). Here is the beginning of the error message I’ve received from phpMyAdmin:
 * >  ERROR: Unknown Punctuation String @ 6
   >  STR: /> SQL:
   > <b>Warning</b>: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by(
   > output started at /web/myadmin/p50/73/export.php:150) in <b>/web/myadmin/p50/
   > 73/libraries/ob.lib.php</b> on line <b>61</b>
 * Also, the new host shows the domain root as [http://uturnahead.com](http://uturnahead.com),
   but the prior host used [http://www.uturnahead.com](http://www.uturnahead.com).
   And, the new host automatically created the database name/user name, which, of
   course, is not the same as the names I used with the other host. Are these the
   problems?
 * Any help correcting this would be greatly appreciated.
 * Coryan

 * Wow, no response again. I have must ask really tough questions because I never
   seem to get a response. And I really am a nice guy. : )
 * Anyway, here is what I have found out. If I can’t get this fixed, maybe this
   will help someone else.
 * 1) I had to correct the domain name in the database backup because my new URL
   does not use WWW.
 * 2) I have to find a way to convert my backup from UTF-8 character set to Latin1.
   I know this seems backwards, but my new hosting provider installs an old version
   of WP which sets the database to Latin1…and it can’t be changed. I will upgrade
   to the recent version of WP, but the character set will remain Latin1.
 * Anyone know of a conversion generator to changes from UTF-8 to Latin1? I know
   it exists for the other direction.

 * Installed WordPress myself so that the database would use the UTF-8 character
   set…and I still get the same error message. The tables are created in UTF-8.
   The global char set is still Latin1, but I don’t know if that matters.
 * I really could use some help if anyone has an idea. I am looking at losing 3
   full months of data, and I really can’t afford to do that.
 * Please help. (God, I sound deperate, but I am.)
