# Error in automatic update

 * Hi. I was trying to put in the code for automatic updates ([http://wiki.wordpress.org/AutomaticUpdate?PHPSESSID=aa58b3d8e599a6f64c5795d7b14457cd](http://wiki.wordpress.org/AutomaticUpdate?PHPSESSID=aa58b3d8e599a6f64c5795d7b14457cd))
   
   But when I upload the plugin.php file, I get this error Parse error: parse error,
   unexpected ‘;’ I checked the line and it refers to the very beginning of the 
   code // BEGIN PLUGIN UPDATE ADD-ON if ( preg_match(“|Update:(.*)|i”, $plugin_data,
   $update) ) { Can anyone help me?

 * Oops, nevermind. I just found another updating plugin that looks much easier 
   to use.
