 * Hi all, my blog is getting almost 17 URLs with – Error in required structured
   data element warning. I have checked everything in Structure data testing tool
   and haven’t found anything. Also, talked to AMP (AMPforWP) plugin customer support.
   They clearly stated the Yoast is causing this issue. Now, m stuck. Please rectify.
 * Also, all of my FAQs are missing from SERP.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Ferror-in-required-structured-data-element-16%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hi,
 * You identified several issues. We have responded to them below.
 * **A. AMP Issue**
    We ran the URL through Google’s testing tool [here](https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/?utm_source=search_console&utm_campaign=sc-amp-test#url=https%3A%2F%2Fthrottlebias.com%2Fperformance-vehicles%2Ffastest-mercedes-benz%2Famp%2F)
   and no errors appeared. See image: [https://pasteboard.co/ICZS5tu.png](https://pasteboard.co/ICZS5tu.png)
 * Can you elaborate more on the exact error you are getting? Are you able to take
   a screenshot? You can use a tool like: [https://pasteboard.co/](https://pasteboard.co/)
   to share the image.
 * **B.Also, all of my FAQs are missing from SERP.**
    Can you provide a page that
   highlights this issue? We’d be happy to check if Yoast is outputting all the
   right data.

 * Hi,
 * Thanks for the feedback, coming to my query.
 * **A. AMP Issue**
    I have taken the journey screenshot to make you better understand,
   see [https://pasteboard.co/ID1yUcl.jpg](https://pasteboard.co/ID1yUcl.jpg) [https://pasteboard.co/ID1znfN.jpg](https://pasteboard.co/ID1znfN.jpg)
   [https://pasteboard.co/ID1zCPa.jpg](https://pasteboard.co/ID1zCPa.jpg)
 * Well, the error is still unknown but it is effecting my overall traffic.
 * **B. FAQs**
    GSC is not showing any error regarding the FAQ schema but all of
   sudden I’ve lost all of my FAQs from SERP. Earlier, I was getting the same on
   each article page.
 * I tested a random effected URL on AMP test, see…
    [https://search.google.com/test/amp?id=Hbpc1F1LGbTTsF468gT9_g](https://search.google.com/test/amp?id=Hbpc1F1LGbTTsF468gT9_g)
 * Thanks

 * Hi
 * **A. AMP Issue**
    We went to [http://throttlebias.com/performance-vehicles/chevy-camaro-exorcist-specs/amp/](http://throttlebias.com/performance-vehicles/chevy-camaro-exorcist-specs/amp/)
   and [http://throttlebias.com/performance-vehicles/2020-ford-mustang-shelby-gt500-specs-features-pics/amp/](http://throttlebias.com/performance-vehicles/2020-ford-mustang-shelby-gt500-specs-features-pics/amp/)
   and we are getting redirected to the homepage. See image: [https://pasteboard.co/IDab5Qv.png](https://pasteboard.co/IDab5Qv.png)
 * Was anything changed on those URLs which would make them redirect? Or can you
   copy/paste those URLs into a reply?
 * **B. AMP Issue On [https://throttlebias.com/performance-vehicles/fastest-mercedes-benz/amp/](https://throttlebias.com/performance-vehicles/fastest-mercedes-benz/amp/)**

   Odd. Google is saying there is an issue when you run the URL through the AMP
   Testing Tool [here](https://search.google.com/test/amp?id=RCwhwrT9rvM9Ya2t_oB-NQ).
   See image [https://pasteboard.co/IDacI6b.png](https://pasteboard.co/IDacI6b.png)
 * Yet when you check on the structured data for that URL, the same result [here](https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool?utm_source=search_console&utm_campaign=sc-amp-test#url=https%3A%2F%2Fthrottlebias.com%2Fperformance-vehicles%2Ffastest-mercedes-benz%2Famp%2F).
   No errors.
 * We suggest the following, which may also resolve structured data issues for the
   URLs in A above, as Google may be confused.
 * 1. Clear all your caching from your theme, plugin, server, CDN like CloudFlare
   or browser. If you are not sure how to clear caching from theme/plugin please
   speak to those authors. If you want to clear cache from the server, please speak
   to your host provider. To clear the cache from a browser use this guide: https://
   kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-clear-my-browsers-cache/.
 * 2. Delete your sitemap in Google. Doing so will not hurt the SEO of the site.
   This guide explains more (scroll to the bottom): https://support.google.com/webmasters/
   answer/183669?hl=en.
 * 3. Submit the sitemap again. Be sure to submit only sitemap_index.xml and nothing
   else. This guide explains more: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/submit-sitemap-search-
   engines/.
 * 4. Monitor the results to see if the issue resolves.
 * **C. No FAQ Schema**
    We can see Google shows no errors [here](https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool?utm_source=search_console&utm_campaign=sc-amp-test#url=https%3A%2F%2Fthrottlebias.com%2Felectric-vehicles%2Ffacts-about-electric-cars%2Famp%2F).
   We can also see Yoast is outputting the page as a FAQpage as expected. See image
   [https://pasteboard.co/IDae51i.png](https://pasteboard.co/IDae51i.png)
 * We suggest trying the action in B above and seeing if the issue resolves.

 * Hey team, done everything you have mentioned but nothing changed. Still, the
   blog has Error in required structured data element and no FAQ are showing in
   SERP.

 * FAQ shows for your site in SERP for your site when using the `site:` search variable
   and a question. This likely means that FAQ markup was not shown for the specific
   search query you used.

 * Thanks [@amboutwe](https://wordpress.org/support/users/amboutwe/) but earlier
   the FAQs were showing just by searching any blog. Why would any user apply site:
   in his search?
 * Also, just because of those FAQs my blog was getting a good CTR and now it has
   lower down by almost 50%.

 * By using the `site:` variable, we can confirm that
    a) your site has the correct
   FAQ markup, b) Google processed the FAQ markup, and c) Google can display the
   FAQ for the article.
 * The FAQ is only shown when Google determines it adds value to the search result.
   If it’s not appearing when you search for specific queries, then Google decided
   it’s not relevant to that query.
 * Google’s goal is to best represent and describe each result. They use a number
   of different sources to get this information. In doing so, they try to make the
   search results as relevant as possible. Due to this being handled on Google’s
   end, there is little you can do to force Google to display the FAQ markup for
   your site.
