# Error in wp-load.php . . . Please help

 * My site is completely down right now and an error code is showing. I have done
   nothing to the site, database or anything else in a while. 1 minute it was working
   fine and 2 hours later I tried to check my stats and it showed this error message:
 * Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/content/b/f/r/bfree74/html/wp-
   load.php on line 46
 * Please help me so I can get my site live again

 * Update: we redownloaded the latest WordPress 2.7 and reuploaded the wp-load.php
   from that set of files to our web server via FTP. Problem is now resolved, and
   we’re backing up everything else again just in case–but apparently a few people
   have run into this problem, so there may be some larger problem going on.
