# Error: Internal Server Error (500)

 * I get a “Error: Internal Server Error (500)” error.
 * I checked what the blocker was and it’s: [http://localhost:7000/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php](http://localhost:7000/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php)
   500 (Internal Server Error)
 * I changed the permissions to 777 but it still doesn’t work. I’m working on local
   running docker, everything else like image uploads etc works fine.
 * I even tried a simple xml import from the demo import but that gives the same
   error, the standard WordPress xml import works fine.
 * Any idea how to fix this?

 * the admin-ajax.php file is responsible to handle all AJAX requests for WordPress
   and so the error will always be pointing to this file, but that is probably not
   the case, something else on the server had to go wrong…
 * What does the log file say in the media section? Does anything import at all (
   posts, pages, media,…)?
 * Take care!
