 * I understand: it doesn’t work with WP REST API.
    And after I deactivated WP REST
   API, I had to deactive WP Alexa Flash Briefing and reactive it.

 * In modern versions of WP, the REST API plugin is unnecessary as it is built into
   core, so you should be able to deactivate it and still have access to the REST
   API. Thanks for the update.
