# Error Log – PHP warning

 * Error Log – is this a WordPress problem or a Hosting problem?
 * Because of the upgrade to 3.2 my hosting company has just moved my website onto
   a server with the corret MySQL and PHP.
 * My learning curve is steep. I now see my Error Log is 25907KB. Some of them from
   the old server which I presume we can now ignore.
    The new errors are now from
   the new server. The same entry every few minutes. ‘[08-Jul-2011 10:15:13] PHP
   Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library ‘/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/
   no-debug-non-zts-20060613/memcache.so’ – /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-
   non-zts-20060613/memcache.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
   directory in Unknown on line 0′
 * Your advice would be appreciated. My knowledge is very limited.
 * After this is resolved, is there a way of deleting the error log to start afresh
   as I’ve moved server?

 * Basically this file don’t exist – /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-
   zts-20060613/memcache.so.
 * Either install memcache yourself and make sure all config files are pointing 
   to the right place or remove memcache and any references to it within PHP’s config
   files.

 * Thanks for taking the time to comment. I guessed it was looking for a file, but
   I’m afraid your answer went over the top of my head. I have no idea how to deal
   with this. Can you or anyone help further please with a little more detailed 
   information (I’ve looked up memcache, there’s only a few references to it on 
   WP – and I’m still none the wiser).

 * That’s fine. First of all, what type of hosting environment are you using. Basically
   are you paying for normal web hosting or did you pay to rent a server which you
   can do what you please on it ?

 * Thanks for getting back. In the meantime I’ve done dome more research on this
   and to me it is clear that my hosting company need to to deal with this first
   off. That’s what I pay them for after all. I am in the process of contacting 
   their help desk.
