    Once a plugin is deactivated, if you use it’s settings URL(s), you will get a message from WordPress that you do not have sufficient permission — it’s a generic message for non-existant admin pages.

    How exactly are you deactivating, uninstalling the plugin, and where are you getting the error? If you could cut-and-paste the error, it might be helpful.

    Some environments fine-tune user privileges, and running WordPress in multisite, and/or with “must use” plugins adds some complexity, but if you were able to install it, you should be able to uninstall it. 😉

    BTW, if you had any problems with WPSSO, don’t be shy — it’s a very robust and reliable plugin, but some of the configuration can be a little subtle. Have you seen the setup guide?

    BTW, I see you switched to JetPack. You may want to compare the meta tags from JetPack and WPSSO. 😉

    <meta property="og:type" content="website" />
    <meta property="og:title" content="Get Your Life On" />
    <meta property="og:description" content="Health • Wealth • Self" />
    <meta property="og:url" content="http://getyourlifeon.com/" />
    <meta property="og:site_name" content="Get Your Life On" />
    <meta property="og:image" content="http://wordpress.com/i/blank.jpg" />
    <meta name="twitter:site" content="@jetpack" />

    Eeeek – that’s not very pretty. :/ Run a few pages through the Facebook Debugger, Pinterest Validator, and Twitter Validators to compare. 😉

    Did you work out the uninstall process? Did you need further assistance, or should I close this thread?

    Thanks,

    HI,

    Sorry, I’ve been putting out so many other fires. I got the plugin to uninstall. You’re saying I should go back and install the program and start again?

    The JetPack social meta tags are pretty bad. It’s up to you if you want to do anything about that or not. 😉

    If you ever give WPSSO another try, and you have any questions, open a new thread here and I’ll be happy to assist you.
