 * Hello [@romal](https://wordpress.org/support/users/romal/)!
 * The theme you were trying to install is not a wordpress theme. It’s html from
   what I saw after downloading that theme.
 * You need to search wordpress charity themes.
 * Check this out: _[ deleted ]_
 * Good luck!

 * > You need to search wordpress charity themes.
 * Nooo, don’t do that. That site you linked to was violating the WordPress trademark.
   Generally avoid getting any themes from search engines as if they were from infectious
   disease carriers. Often they are. 😉
 * [@romal](https://wordpress.org/support/users/romal/) That theme is not supported
   in these forums and I recommend that you consider searching for a replacement
   in this URL.
 * [https://wordpress.org/themes/](https://wordpress.org/themes/)
 * Those themes are supported here.

 * You _may_ find some here. 😉
 * [https://wordpress.org/themes/](https://wordpress.org/themes/)
 * Outside of that it is not really safe to use third party themes unless you know
   what to look for. No one should recommend using search engines for that; it’s
   just not safe.

 * Yes it’s safe if you know what you are doing.
 * Google is not an underground search engine.
 * You can always verify downloaded archives with your antivirus and to be sure
   you can scan your website for malware after installing that theme.

 * If you had one minute to search for charity themes on wordpress.org/themes you
   would’ve saw that he doesn’t have so many themes to download, and beside that,
   they are outdated – this means security flaws and god knows what.

 * …It’s Dembowski not with a “y”…
 * I’m sorry if it seemed that way but _I’m not having an argument with you, just
   like you I am offering advice_. And that advice remains the same: unless you
   know how to read and look for traps in PHP code _then stay away from using search
   engines to obtain WordPress themes_. That’s all there is to it.
 * Here’s a really good write up for why that is.
 * [http://www.chipbennett.net/2010/12/10/only-download-wordpress-themes-from-trusted-sources/](http://www.chipbennett.net/2010/12/10/only-download-wordpress-themes-from-trusted-sources/)
 * I can’t stress that enough and recommending users to any search engine for obtaining
   themes is poor advice. Yes, the WordPress theme search will send you to Google
   as an option but look at the URL it uses.
 * [https://www.google.com/search?q=site:http://wordpress.org/themes/%20charity](https://www.google.com/search?q=site:http://wordpress.org/themes/%20charity)
 * That `site:` parameter keeps it in a trustworthy location.

 * I’ve many minutes and you are mistaken: an old theme listed in the WordPress
   theme repo does not necessarily have security flaws. In fact odds are very good
   that they do not. It only means that they may be broken with the current version
   of WordPress.
 * They do not have to be broken and most are not, but it’s a caution that’s all.

 * > You can always verify downloaded archives with your antivirus and to be sure

 * Antivirus software doesn’t usually detect “bad” PHP code. And sure you can scan
   your site for malware after installing the theme, but then **it’s already too
   late**, and cleaning it may take a lot of work.
 * Like Jan says, the only way to ensure a theme definitely doesn’t include viruses/
   malware/etc, it to download it from WordPress.org, since WordPress does extensive
   checks for that before accepting a theme in the directory.
