Error MEssage

I keep on receiving the error message “Error! Something went wrong when verifying the payment” on my form. I have used this form in the past with no problems and have only made minor updates. Not sure why it is giving me this error now. Can anyone help? Thank you!

Sorry to hear about the issues noticed. In order to further investigate what’s causing the issue, is it possible to share the form export, so that we could have a better idea of the existing settings you have configured and see what’s being missed?

Thanks for sharing the export, on further checking I’m afraid I could replicate it as a bug. It seems like the payment is failing due to “Pre-fill Billing Details” not having any options selected.
Could you please check whether it works if you assign a field or when you disable “Pre-fill Billing Details” as a whole?
I’m reporting this behaviour to our team’s attention so that it could be fixed in the next update asap.

Nithini tried disabling and it still did not work. i was unable to assign a field for “address”. Anything else I can do? Or is bug fixed yet? Thanks.

The “address” field can’t be assigned because there’s no address field on form. You would need to add the “address” type field (doesn’t have to be set as required) and only then you could assign it to the “Billing address” in PayPal payment settings.
As for the fix, this is a freshly discovered issue and while it’s already reported to our developers and they are looking into it, I don’t yet have an ETA on fix release, I’m afraid.
However, I’m a bit surprised that disabling the “pre-filing billing details” option didn’t help. I just tested your form again on my end and I had no issues with this option disabled.
Are you using any caching on site or a server that site is hosted with? If yes, could you try disabling that “pre-fill billing details” option again but then make sure to actually update the form (otherwise changes won’t be applied) and clear all possible cache that you know of/can think of on site/server?

As suggested in the other ticket, please try using a new set of PayPal API keys and see whether that fixes the issue.

Unfortunately the bug is still waiting for a fix and inclusion into one of the upcoming versions of Forminator.
In the meantime, recreating the form from scratch without enabling the affected options may be a possible solution.

KasiaI think the issue was that I had an outstanding item with PayPayl so the keys were not working. I wish PayPal would have let me known this. I had to proactively ask them if there was a reason my keys were not working. It seems to be working now. Thank you.
