# Error message – change timeout value?

 * I get this error all the time when I try to get stats from all authors for all
   time:
 * > Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/content/
   > 29/11570129/html/blog/wp-content/plugins/word-stats/basic-string-tools.php 
   > on line 96
 * How can I fix it so this doesn’t happen?

 * I’ve changed how execution time is handled on some parts for 4.5.0, but apart
   from trying to raise it (if the server allows it) in the stats page there’s no
   permanent fix yet.
 * The issue is that on a blog with a lot of posts the plugin can take a long time
   to collect all the data, and I haven’t modified it yet to do this in small chunks
   for the stats page.

 * Thanks. It seems to work for me. My blog isn’t that big – just over 500 posts.
   But it grows all the time.
