# Error message when updating post

 * Hi,
 * Every time I try to update this content WordPress shows me a message telling 
   me the update failed and changes aren’t saved. I’ve tried copying the code and
   creating a new post, but it shows the same error message. I don’t know what is
   causing it. I’d appreciate any idea.

 * I have no “site health” tool. I’m using the default set up of WordPress. Where
   can I check if REST API is enabled?

 * I’ve updated WordPress to version 5.3.2-ca
 * Now the error message says “Update failed. Error message: the response is not
   a valid JSON response”

 * FYI I installed the Classic Editor plugin and now everything works fine. So the
   block editor was causing the problems.
