# error message when upgrading

 * Hi
    I have had this customer WP site for 7 months with no problem. I need to 
   revamp the site – content and theme. I tried to upgrade today to 2.9.1 and got
   this error message. I get this when I try to upgrade the plugins as well
 * “Incompatible archive PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central
   Dir Record signature”
 * Any help will be greatly appreciated.

 * Hi sorry to double post.
    With the problem above I deactivated all the plugins
   and activated them again. The plugin “WordPress Automatic upgrade’
 * would not activate and came up with this error message
 * “Warning: Unexpected character in input: ”’ (ASCII=39) state=1 in /home/exceltip/
   public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/wordpress-automatic-
   upgrade.php on line 472″
 * Have tried dowloading a new version and activating as well. This is a plugin 
   I use on all my WP sites and have never had any problme so far.
    How do I solve
   this problem?
