 * On several occasions, when a reader posts a comment, they receive this error 
   message

 * This occurs when a reader posts a comment and also when I, logged in as administrator,
   post a reply. The comments and replies are posted, but it’s up to the reader 
   to return to the page.

   so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this. Note,
   however, that the plugin hasn’t been updated for over 8 years. It’s time to [find another plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/subscribe+comments/)
   for this functionality.

 * Thank you Steven. That should have been obvious to me. Disabled the old plugin
   and added a supported one that works perfectly.
