# Error on install

 * Heya,
 * I’ve updated all the necessary settings in the wp-config.php file and uploaded
   the entire wordpress folder to a site.
 * When I try to access /wp-admin/install.php I get the following message:
 * > Warning: Unexpected character in input: ” (ASCII=15) state=1 in /usr/bin/php4-
   > cgi on line 3033
   > Parse error: parse error, unexpected ‘*’ in /usr/bin/php4-cgi on line 3033
 * Any ideas?

 * Ah hah.. i realized that MAC OS doesnt show .whatever files, so .htaccess wasnt
   uploaded along with everything else.
 * So i made my own .htaccess file (which i named as such server side) and included`
   DirectoryIndex index.php index.html` in the file.
 * Now I get this error:
 * > Server error!
   > The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request.
   > Either the server is overloaded or there was an error in a CGI script.
   > If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.
   >  Error 500
   > mysite.com Wed Mar 18 18:46:26 2009 Apache/2.0.54 (Debian GNU/Linux) FrontPage/
   > 5.0.2.2635 mod_ssl/2.0.54 OpenSSL/0.9.7e
