Something went wrong” * Resolved [jbalazs8178](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jbalazs8178/) * (@jbalazs8178) * [1 year, 6 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-oops-something-went-wrong-4/) * Let me preface this by saying that I am using the free version, not the paid version of this plugin, and there’s no way my employer will pay for the paid version…but I don’t think it’s an issue between the paid version versus the free one. * I use this plugin on about 15 to 18 sites, and it is able to edit/publish/delete rules on some sites, but on others I keep getting this error: “Oops!! Something went wrong” when I toggle the slider to enable or disable the rule, and also when I try to save any changes by clicking the save button. I’ve checked that the settings are the same for the sites that the plugin does not work on as opposed to the sites that it does work on, and most are, but I can’t save any new settings if I see a difference. I’ve tried clearing my browser cache, clearing the sites cache, all the plugins being used are the same on the sites where the Discount Rules plugin works versus the ones that it doesn’t. * I do know that all of these sites are cloned sites (and since I run so many, the original site I clone from may vary, since some settings are set on some sites that I need for other sites). We already have a firewall with our security package with our hosting company. I’m wondering if that firewall is the issue, since it has to be activated for each site…the last 2 sites, which are the ones that I’m having this issue on, I activated the firewall myself. I may reach out to the hosting company and see if they can see any difference in the way the firewall is set up on the 2 sites where this plugin won’t work as opposed to the other 16 sites where the plugin does…I already know what they’re response will be though as soon as I mention the word “plugin”….they’ll they will tell me to reach out to the plugin developer haha…which is what I’m doing now. * Thread Starter [jbalazs8178](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jbalazs8178/) * (@jbalazs8178) * [1 year, 6 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/error-oops-something-went-wrong-4/#post-18121007) * I figured it out by inspecting the console in Chrome Dev tools, and then finding a solution in a Github post for that error…had to do with my htaccess file. Had to delete the file, then change my permalinks, save, then change back and save.
