Regularly, every day or often, the personalized page error 404 I created was moved to the trash… Only the main page (in French), not the translated in English. My configuration:– WordPress last version – Theme Pen (free version) – 404page plugin (work perfectly even this) – redirection plugin – yoast plugin – polylang plugin And since yesterday to get more information about this trouble : – WP Activity Log I get too an Sandbox version of this site on a subdomain to try and test, sorry a staging version. The default error page was the French version directed by the plugin Error404, the relation translated page in English version never when to the trash. This morning, I get this message (read on the log of WP Activity Log) : 24/06 10:14: 16.088 – ID2012- System – 85.236.157.21 – Deleted – Moved to the trash ID736, Type: Page, statuts published I read the log of the plugin redirection and I found : nothing detected at this time. So maybe a maintenance cron made it but I didn’t found it… I will update this post if I found an issue or if I get more information. My 404 page gets trashed frequently for my live websites but not my staging. I have to undelete my 404 page roughly once a week and I do not know why either. If yes try to disable to see what’s going on. Not uninstall it but verify the cron of Flamingo is not running (with Cron Manager for example). IF it still there delete the cron. Don’t uninstall Flamingo or backup the email database before. After that, tell me if the custom error page will still trashed. Did this solve the problem for you. I have not yet analyzed the Flamingo code in detail, but a quick look at the code has so far not shown that the Flamingo plugin could cause this problem. Also I can’t found the relation with the Flamingo plugin cron and the error404 plugin, but yesterday, I activate again the Flamingo plugin on the public version of the site and this morning, the custom error 404 page was trashed ! If you desire I can give you an admin access at the staging version. I discover an information with the staging site: I keep the contact form on this site. I indicate “nofollow” to the search engine But of course some robot overtake this indication. So, some days I receive spam. The spam was trashed automatically on the way by System (indication of the log activity). The morning after this action, just after or during the Flamingo Cron Jobs, the custom error page was also trashed by System… When no spam arrive and was trashed, this effect no exist. I’ve analyzed the Flamingo code, that deletes spam messages and as far as I can see, only objects with post type “flamingo_inbound” are handled by the plugin. This means, that an object with post type “page” can not be deleted by Flamingo. It is exactly what I think when I realize on the sandbox site, the error page ent to trash only the day after (or after) spam arrive and was tried to be send by the form. It is as the error custom page was considered as a spam message and not a simple post… I don’t understand why… Database trouble/ corruption ? If you desire I can open an admin access for you to the sandbox site. Today, the First Flamingo Daily Cron was in PAUSE BUT A new cron “Flamingo Daily Cron” was created and … the Custom Error Page was Trashed.
