# Error: Post url required

 * I’ve just downloaded and activated this plugin and am testing it to see if if
   works. I am getting this error message when I try to post a new post from the
   UI. Error: Post url required

 * That error occurs when the setting to display the URL field is enabled and the
   form is submitted with that field left empty. I would double-check and try again.

 * this happened to me too.
    I enabled the option to automatically put the post 
   inside the user’s URL, so there was no URL field in the submit post page, but
   the error message still happened.
 * How can I fix this?

 * Thank you for your reply. In the settings tab -> user submitted post -> options
   
   The name of the option is: Use registered URL for submitted URL? (Tickbox)Check
   this box if you want to automatically use the registered user’s specified URL
   as the submitted-post URL. Note: this really should only be used when requiring
   log-in for submissions.

 * Thanks, I’m sure that the URL field is required if included via the options, 
   but I will investigate for the next update. Thanks for the feedback.

 * Then yes, there is a plugin setting that enables you to disable/not show the 
   URL field, and other fields, if desired.
