# Error: Request parameter is empty: propertyIDs. Please try again.

 * I encountered an issue while setting up **Connect Google Analytics** where I
   received the following error: _“Request parameter is empty: propertyIDs. Please
   try again.”_
 * Despite the Google Analytics 4 (GA4) backend being fully configured with the
   correct data streams, the system fails to display or allow me to select the appropriate
   data stream. It seems that the connection process is unable to retrieve the propertyIDs
   parameter, causing the error. This issue persists even though the GA4 setup appears
   to be complete and functional in the Google Analytics backend.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Ferror-request-parameter-is-empty-propertyids-please-try-again%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Thanks for reaching out [@victorhig](https://wordpress.org/support/users/victorhig/),
   and sharing details of your experience. To ensure you can select the correct
   property and data stream, please share the following:

    2. Does this occur when setting up Site Kit at the Analytics set up section, when
       viewing the Site Kit dashboard, or when trying to edit or connect the Analytics
       module with Site Kit already successfully connected? Feel free to share a screenshot

 * Thank you for your response. I have completed the form and provided the Site
   Health information as requested.
 * Regarding the issue:
   • I followed your suggestion to disconnect the Google Analytics
   module and reconnect using a Chrome browser in incognito mode, but the same errors
   persist.• The error messages are as follows:• Error: Request parameter is empty:
   destinationID. Please try again.• Error: Request parameter is empty: propertyIDs.
   Please try again.• Additional errors from browser console errors:
 *     ```wp-block-code
       1. Failed Request:• /wp-json/google-site-kit/v1/modules/analytics-4/data/container-lookup?destinationID=G-1WB20CHWC4&_locale=user:1The server responded with a status of 400.2. Console Log:• Google Site Kit API Error:Method: GETDatapoint: container-lookupType: modulesIdentifier: analytics-4Error: “Request parameter is empty: destinationID.”3. Additional Errors:• /wp-json/google-site-kit/v1/modules/analytics-4/data/webdatastreams-batch?propertyIDs[0]=398840720&propertyIDs[1]=325239078&propertyIDs[2]=356827899&propertyIDs[3]=356847604&propertyIDs[4]=357702100&propertyIDs[5]=359091627&propertyIDs[6]=364274096&propertyIDs[7]=378248324&propertyIDs[8]=413250489&propertyIDs[9]=470609234&_locale=userThe server responded with a status of 400.• Google Site Kit API Error:Method: GETDatapoint: webdatastreams-batchType: modulesIdentifier: analytics-4Error: “Request parameter is empty: propertyIDs.”
       ```
 * It seems the system is unable to retrieve necessary data from the Analytics module,
   resulting in a 400 error for the respective requests.
 * Please let me know if further details or steps are needed from my side to help
   resolve this issue. I’m happy to assist as needed.
 * Looking forward to your advice.
 * Thanks for the update [@victorhig](https://wordpress.org/support/users/victorhig/).
   Indeed it does look like the system is unable to retrieve data from your Analytics
   account. To try and determine what the case may be, here are a few checks you
   can perform:
    1. Can you confirm no issues when setting up Site Kit setup with Google Analytics
       from [this disposable WordPress site](https://tastewp.org/plugins/google-site-kit/)?
       This will help indicate a possible host related issue if all works fine from
       here, while also ruling out local issues, with your machine, Firewall or browser.
    2. If you select a different Google Analytics account, and select an existing property,
       are you able to complete set up? This will help indicate any issue at Google
       Analytics property level.
 * Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Once we have this, we can
   provide the most suitable suggestion to ensure you can complete set up. This
   may involve configuration checks at host level, or performing some checks via
   the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. From
 * As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to [open a new support topic](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/google-site-kit/#new-post)
   if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to
   assist.
