# ‘ERROR:’ String Location

 * I’m having to manually translate the error messages in the registration and login
   form, and I’ve managed to do all of them except one:
 * ‘ERROR: The password field is empty’
 * I’ve been able to find and translate the ‘The password field is empty’ part, 
   but the ‘ERROR:’ that goes with it will not change, for some reason. I’ve used
   the String Locator plugin to find and change every instance of ‘ERROR’ to ‘VERHE’(
   the Finnish translation) but still, it won’t change for this one particular error
   message.
 * Any ideas?

 * Thank you for writing in,
 * We would like to inform you that the error message ‘ERROR: The password field
   is empty’ is coming from the default WordPress login error message and this message
   automatically translates when you change the site language.
 * We have checked your site and try to submit a login without a password but we
   did not find any translation issue. The message is showing fine according to 
   your site language you can see in this screenshot [https://prnt.sc/165vjww](https://prnt.sc/165vjww)

 * Thank you for the information. But it’s the ‘ERROR’ part that must become ‘TERHE’.
   The rest of the error message is correctly translated – you’re right. Thanks 
   for the info, I’ll see if I can make it work.

 * Actually, I still need help with this please. The site language is changed to
   Finnish, all ‘ERROR:’ strings are translated to ‘VERHE:’, and yet this one error
   message still shows with ‘ERROR:’.

   you check the WordPress public support forum or you can contact the translation
   plugin support then they can provide you the proper instruction for these default
   WordPress error message translation tips.
