[Topic title de-capped. Please do not shout at us.]

I’m having an error message. However, this error message pops up when I press save when working on a table. When I press the preview button, everything is ok. Then when I press the save button TablePress says that the table has been saved, but when I go to view the actual page I get The internal data of this table is corrupted! Then when I go to the specific table on Table Press I see this [ERROR] TABLE IS CORRUPTED! DO NOT EDIT THIS TABLE NOW!
Instead, please ask for support at http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/tablepress.

    Can someone please help?

    Hi,

thanks for your question and sorry for the trouble!

To find out more about this, could you please try the instructions from this page: http://tablepress.org/faq/corrupted-tables/ ?

That should help finding the cause for this (probably another plugin). If not, I’ll then gladly take a direct look at your site.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

The error only affects the new tables that I try to create. The old tables we have on our website are fine (which makes me think it might not be a plugin issue).

    Hi,

the old tables will be affected as soon as they contain characters like " and are then edited.

Did that suggestion in that page, with deactivating other plugins one by one help?

If not, I’d like to take a direct look at this, if possible. Can you please send me an email as explained in that page? Thanks!

    Tobias

    Hi,

just for everybody following this: I’ve worked on this directly with Plasman, and we found the cause for the issue:
It’s in the plugin “SEO Blog Kahuna”, which has this setting on its Settings screen:
“Add rel=”nofollow” to all external links in Posts Contents. This option is checked each time you “Update” a Post.”
That is messing with the internal data format of TablePress, because
it’s too aggressive. With that setting turned off, tables will save fine.

    Regards,
    Tobias
