# Error Thrown Error message

 * Hi, getting an:
 * > Error thrown
   > Class ‘C_NextGEN_Wizard_Manager’ not found
 * To get into my wordpress dashboard to change anything to do with my website. 
   Has anyone had this problem or know a way of fixing it?

 * To troubleshoot this issue, check the issue after _updating NextGEN Gallery _plugin
   to the latest version available, as well as checking after _deactivating it_.
   If the issue persists, reactivate it again and _run a theme compatibility test_;
   switch to a WordPress default theme, like Twenty Twenty-Three, and then check
   the issue is resolved.
 * The other method is to_ check your PHP error logs_ in your hosting panel, or 
   simply ask your hosting support to help you with this.
 * If none of these work, I recommend asking at [NextGEN Gallery support forum](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/nextgen-gallery/),
   so their developers and support community can help you with this.

 * Thanks so much for the advice. yeah that’s the problem I think, the NextGen gallery
   plugin has stopped me from being able to access the wordpress dashboard what 
   so ever. So unfortunately I can’t even get on the dahsboard to alter the plugin
   update which is super frustrating. Do you happen to know a way around that so
   I can still access the dashboard via another route? All advice so so welcome 
   and thanks again!

 * Yes, you can [manually deactivate the plugin](https://wordpress.org/support/article/phpmyadmin/)
   by accessing your website’s files, using FTP, phpMyAdmin, or a file manager provided
   by your hosting provider, and following these steps below. Just remember to create
   a backup before making any changes to your website.
    - Go to the ‘wp-content/plugins’ directory
    - Go to the ‘nextgen-gallery’ folder and rename it
    - Try to log in to your WordPress dashboard again. Here, the plugin will be 
      deactivated.
    -  Reinstall and update the NextGEN Gallery plugin.
    - If the issue persists after reactivating the plugin, run a conflict test for
      your themes and plugins, and follow the steps as I mentioned earlier.
