 * Is there a way to stop the updating posts counting as new posts?
 * Furthermore, when I update a post, this appears in the screen.
 * Post published outside of APS – Auto Post Scheduler restarted
    Warning: Cannot
modify header information – headers already sent by
 * The rest of the page is blank. I guess the problem is that this text should not
   be echoed.
 * And thank you for the plugin, it’s great.

 * Hello
 * >Is there a way to stop the updating posts counting as new posts?
 * If you mean recycling posts, you can uncheck the **Recycle Posts as New?** option.
This way only the post date is changed to NOW.

 * Yes that is the issue. It should only be sent to the log. This issue only happens
if **Restart on Publish?** is checked and you manually publish a post. Will update
   soon.

 * I have not checked “Recycle Posts as New?”.
I have checked “Restart on Publish?”.
So if I publish a new post, the timer restart. That’s ok. But if for a reason
I need to edit a published post (because I need to fix an error in the post or
something), it counts as a new post published, and I don’t think it should count.

 * Yes, and it happens when editing a published post too.
 * Thanks for the fast response!

 * Okay, I misunderstood your original question.
 * APS checks the restart option when WordPress triggers the [publish_post action](https://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_API/Action_Reference/publish_post),
which is only supposed to occur whenever a post is published, or if it is edited
and the status is changed to publish.
 * It appears WordPress also triggers this action if a published post is edited.
I will look into a workaround.
