Error when generating SSL certification.

    I ran through the prompt and got to where it says

    “We will now generate your SSL Certificate”

    I always get this message “Attempt 2. The order is invalid, possibly due to too many failed authorization attempts. Please start at the previous step.”

    and not matter how many times I go to the previous screens or click “restart encrypt” it still keeps failing. one time it told me to wait 10 minutes. so I did and I got “too many failed authorization attempts” again.

    Hi @drewdating,

    if pressing the ‘Reset Let’s Encrypt’ link does not work you could also try to manually delete the ssl directory. This directory is created one level above the WordPress root directory. Another possibility is your hosting provider is blocking the generation of Let’s Encrypt certificates. Could you verify with your hoster if they allow Let’s Encrypt certificates to be generated?
