Error when using Hatch theme

I’m using a slightly modified version of the Hatch theme: http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/themes/hatch on a site with Groups. I haven’t noticed it anywhere else, but on the theme’s unique settings page only (not the usual WP header or background settings page) at Appearance>Theme Settings (url http://sitename.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=theme-settings) I get the following error at the top of the page, beneath the WP admin bar:

Any ideas what’s going on?
