# Error while clicking on “Plugins”

 * Hi there,
 * I recently updated my wordpress installation. All seemed fine, but when I click
   on “plugins” in the backend, I get an “There has been a critical error on this
   website” error.
 * Here is what further information I got:

 * If I rename ml-slider folder to ml-slider_deactivated folder, my site won’t load.
 * Does anyone know, what to do? Thanks in advance!

 * Is it possible that you’re using a very old version of the plugin? There was 
   an error similar to this that was resolved 8 months ago, in October last year:

 * Hi Steve, thanks for your help! I wasn’t able to figure it out as it seemed version
   3.99 was installed. I made a new wordpress installation, migrating the articles
   and sites and setting everything else up again from the ground …

 * Yes, it is fixed in the new wordpress instance and works perfect as it always
   did in the past!
