# Error while trying to authenticate

 * Hi,
 * on a multisite I had issues trying to login after I changed a subsite domain 
   name. Whatever credentials I entered, I got this message:
 * _“ERROR: An error was encountered while trying to authenticate. Please try again.”_
 * By disabling plugins, I found that it was WP Armour that blocked the login. So
   the solution was to disable WP Armour for the login page. This has not happened
   on other subsites, I don’t know what’s different with this one.
 * Any other way to fix this other than disabling the plugin?

 * Can you make sure you are using same version of our plugins for both subsites?

 * Thanks for your quick reply.
 * It’s all on the same multisite, so all subsites are using the same plugins. And
   also this “problematic” subsite worked fine with WP Armour on the login page,
   before I changed the domain name.
 * Versions are 2.1.13 for WP Armour, and 1.26 for extended

 * No, I did not, good idea. I meant to change them anyway. And indeed, it works
   now. Thank you!
