# Error While Updating UpdraftPlus plugin

 * Hello, I am wondering if you could please explain why I got the following error
   message when I updated the UD Plus plugin on 2/4/18: Error while sending QUERY
   packet. PID=22422 in home/public html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1924. It 
   then says update complete. I also received the same message when I updated it
   in December 2017.

 * Hi,
 * That means that your web hosting server cut the MySQL connection. Presumably 
   they have a low timeout, and also a low disk I/O limit, such that when WordPress
   downloads and unzips the new UpdraftPlus zip (which is about 20MB, unzipped),
   it takes longer (given the disk I/O limit) than the number of seconds before 
   they cut the MySQL connection.
 * Nothing to worry about as such, as updating a plugin just involves WP unzipping
   a zip, and if the MySQL connection is cut during that, it doesn’t matter. (MySQL
   connections are per-process – it doesn’t affect other visitors). It does indicate
   that your web hosting company is trying to run websites as close as possible 
   to resource limits as they can get away with, though, and that’s not really a
   good situation.
