 * Hello there,
   The most comon reason for such issues is caused by a plugin conflicts.
   The error could be caused by a conflict with one of the plugins installed on 
   your WordPress site. Try disabling plugins one by one and see if the error disappears
   and if you are able to upload your media. If it does, you can isolate the problematic
   plugin and find a replacement or contact the plugin author for support.
