# Error while visiting dashboard

 * When I visit the site, it is visible but when I try to login to the dashboard,
   I am getting this error,
 * “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin
   email inbox for instructions. If you continue to have problems, please try the
   [support forums](https://wordpress.org/support/forums/).”

   But I have got no email about this.

 * I think this site might have been hacked. Please check your email inbox and enable
   debug mode (`WP_DEBUG`) by setting it to `true`. Then, try logging in and share
   a screenshot of any errors you see so I can guide you.

 * I have no ability to do that, the hosting access is with the client, they don’t
   provide it.

 * You need access to the hosting to get back access to the backend as well as to
   investigate the cause of the error in the error log. If you do not have this,
   request it in order to be able to help in any way.
