# Error with update.php when installing updates

 * I get this error when I install any update: Plugins, Themes and WP updates.
 * Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.
   org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please 
   try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to
   WordPress.org. Please contact your server administrator.) in /home2/…/…/public_html/
   wp-includes/update.php on line 119

 * So far I tried doing this and the error still persists:
 * 1. Deactivate all plugins and reactivate one by one.
    2. Change themes and re-
   install all of them. 3. Re-installed WordPress 3.9.1 4. Contacted my server host.
   They say everything is fine on their end.
 * I found a few people with similar issues and I followed the advice on each page.
   Unfortunately the error persists.
 * I would really appreciate any advice.

 * This is a server issue – sometimes caused by a failure to compile PHP with cUrl.
   Contact your hosts about it.
