 * Heyy,
 * I am currently attempting to update my website after purchasing a new theme.
   I want to edit the widgets on my theme, in particular the ones on my sidebar.
   However, every time I try to delete/create a new sidebar widget and then click
   update, I get a message on the bottom of my screen that say’s ‘There was an error.
   You are probably offline.’ does anyone know what this means and how I fix this?
   I am logged into my account so how can I be offline? Please see attached image
   to see what I mean.

 * Hello,
 * Sorry to hear you’re having trouble doing that .
 * I would recommend switching to a default theme, and try taking the steps again.
 * If it works, you might want to contact your theme author to check the conflict
   for you.

 * The message displayed indicates a server-side error while saving. This should
   be listed in the error log of your hosting. The support of your hoster can certainly
   help you to find this.
 * Alternatively, you can also activate the debug mode in WordPress, see: [https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/](https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/)–
   there you would also be able to see this in the debug.log.
