 * Hello,
 * I have a website hosted with Pantheon and in the admin panel I keep running into
   errors:
 * `Error while creating reader for "/wp-content/uploads/GeoLite2-City.mmdb": Error
   opening database file (/wp-content/uploads/GeoLite2-City.mmdb). Is this a valid
   MaxMind DB file?Selected data source: Maxmind File Database (file does not exist
   or is not readable) (updated weekly)`
 * I have a valid license and have the following option selected:
 * – Automatic download & update of Maxmind GeoIP Lite City
 * I’ve checked “Caching Disabled” under the General Options. Any suggestions on
   how I can go about debugging this issue?

 * I suppose the mmdb file was downloaded incompletely or so. Can you delete the
   file and click again on manual update?

 * Hello,
 * Thanks for the reply! We actually did try that but it couldn’t regenerate the
   file. Then we tried giving it a full path to the file and it also couldn’t find
   it. I believe it’s probably a Pantheon issue. They have their own folder structure
   setup, locked down, and symlinked. I.E. it’s not a traditional setup. For the
   past 6 months it worked as expected but just broke in maybe the past 2. In the
   end to solve the issue we just switched from MaxMind to HostIP.info Web-API and
   so far it’s worked for us.
 * In any case thanks for putting together and support this plugin. Hope all is
   well!

 * You could set a custom mmdb folder via a wordpress filter – not sure which folder
   is appropriate though, I was hoping using the wp-uploads folder is failsafe (
   but Woocommerce also does a lot more detecting there to support Cloud filebuckets
   and so on).
 * I have added a new filter `geoip_detect_get_abs_mmdb_filename` for this, you
   can try the beta version of the plugin.
