# Errors Importing Variable Subscription products

 * Hi, I’ve purchased the Woocommerce Subscriptions plugin and I have tried for 
   hours to use the inbuilt Import/Export function – a plugin which the help docs
   say is supported in this function.
 * Replication steps:
    1. Create a Variable Subscription product with a few variations
   2. Use the Export function from the Products listing screen 3. Use the Import
   function (update product info checked) to import the file you just exported. 
   It errors saying “Invalid product type.” on all of the variations, and only imports
   the primary products.
 * I tried simply marking the Type field as “do not import”, at which point attempting
   to do the import process just hangs, with this in the logs (edited for security):

 * I’m not familiar enough with PHP to attempt to troubleshoot this any further.
   
   None of the product import plugins appear to be able to handle this – I’ve bought
   two of them today just to make sure, and this inbuilt one is the closest and 
   would be great if not for this!
 * Any help appreciated.

   my purchased products` and then choose WooCommerce Subscriptions from the pulldown
   menu.

 * Did you ever find a solution for this? I’ve just run in to the same issue. I’ve
   submitted a support ticket to Propress but wondered if you had found/been given
   a solution?

   that they were working on it but it required WP Core changes. I ended up going
   a different direction in the end.

   > While the Import / Export tool supports regular variable products, it does 
   > not currently support variable subscription products. We are working on addressing
   > this now. However, this functionality is going to require that some changes
   > are made to WooCommerce core, so we do not have any estimated timeline as to
   > when this might be released.
   > I’m sorry to say that I don’t know of any product import / export plugins that
   > support variable subscription products due to the limitations mentioned above.
   > It is likely that you will need to configure your variable subscription products
   > manually.
   > Please let us know if there are any other questions we can help with!

 * It was a while ago now but I think I just manually created every variation
