 * I too am seeing the following in my error logs:

   continue to review possible solutions to this issue, as noted in the message 
   you quoted this is primarily an issue in WordPress core that needs to be resolved
   best by the core team.
 * If we find a working solution we will implement it but we do not have anything
   at this time. I would recommend trying to help speed up the process via that 
   trac ticket if you can.

   the trac ticket is meant more as a reference than a solution at this time … but
   if you have something relevant to add you can log into trac with the same login
   you use in these forums and add your comment(s).

 * So, **7 months** after initial post and this is **still** a problem?
 * So **does NextGen work** or is _(as the message states)_ NextGen Gallery **“Broke”**
   and should **not** be used in a live site?

   issue with WordPress that for years has been left un-addressed. As noted in the
   comments of the trac ticket it is not receiving attention and will hopefully 
   make it into core some day but unfortunately that is still not the case.
 * That being said if you want to try to work around this you are more than welcome
   to add the following to your site’s wp-config.php file:
 * `define( 'NGG_DISABLE_FILTER_THE_CONTENT', true );`
 * Although it could cause other things to break on your site as it is a key part
   of our compatibility measures.

   what I thought too.. My solution was to stop using this plugin, and find other
   options.. Suggest you do the same..
