# errors on Checking basic config reading/writing

 * Im running wordfence on my site.
    I have a issue that when logging in to worpress
   admin i get an annoying “popup” och every click that says: “Congratulations. 
   You’ve installed Wordfence” and then it asks for my e-mail address.
 * I went into tools/diagnostics and i see these 2 errors there:
    Checking basic
   config reading/writing Basic config writing Checking serialized config reading/
   writing Serialized config writing
 * anyone knows why?

 * Errors in that section indicate that Wordfence isn’t able to write to the database.
   This could involve a particular table: _wfConfig_.
 * Please make sure that the user has sufficient privileges on the database by checking
   the _MySQL_ section on the same page (_Wordfence_ -> _Tools_ -> _Diagnostics_).
 * Also, please check that the _wfConfig_ table isn’t somehow corrupted.

 * The Wordfence scan does not work. It only worked on the installation day (5/01/
   2018) and I have not make any configuration changes. When you try to do it manually,
   nothing happens. In the diagnostics tab, Basic config writing appears marked 
   with a red x. I have reviewed the MYSQL section and everything is correct.
