 * Hello, I’m getting this error on 199 products:
 * Inventory data is missing, and “digital books” are not accepted (Epub format;
   we are a publishing house). Can you help me with this?
   The books are listed as“
   in stock” on our product pages. I don’t understand. Thank you.

   >Hi </span>@dragondefeu76 <span style=”font-size: inherit; font-family: -apple-
   system, BlinkMacSystemFont, "Segoe UI", Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell,"
   Helvetica Neue", sans-serif;”>,</span>
 * Thanks for the details, let’s break this down simply.
    1. ** Inventory data is missing**: This usually means Google is not getting the
        availability (stock) information from your feed, even though your products
        are marked “in stock” in WooCommerce.
    2. To help you properly, I’ll need to see your setup.
    3. 👉 Could you please share your feed link (the XML feed generated by Product
        Feed Manager)?
    4. That will help me check if the required attributes are being sent correctly.
    5. **Digital books (Epub) not accepted:**
    6. This error is coming from Google Merchant Center, not from Product Feed Manager.
    7. Google has rules about what types of products can be listed, and some feed
        types don’t allow digital products like EPUB files.
    8. So even if everything is correct in your feed, Google may still reject these
        items based on their policies.
    9.  **Please share:**
    10. Your feed link, once I have that, I’ll guide you more precisely on what’s going
        wrong.

 * Thank you. Sure, here it is:

 * On the store’s website itself, the stock status is clearly marked as “in stock,”
   so I don’t understand why Google is showing an error. However, on Google Merchant
   Center, as you can see in the attached screenshot , the products (books, in this
   case) are listed as “limited stock.” But the green checkmark seems to indicate
   that the titles are still online and visible—is that correct? So the feed wouldn’t
   be causing a blockage…?

 * Hi [@dragondefeu76](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dragondefeu76/),
 * Thanks a lot for sharing the feed link and the screenshot, which really helps
   clarify things.
 * First, regarding your concern:
   Yes, the **green checkmark in Google Merchant
   Center means your products are still approved and visible**, so this warning
   is not blocking your listings. That’s why they are still online.Now, about the“
   limited stock” / “inventory data missing” message, here’s what’s going on:
 * About inventory data & quantityIf you have a **physical store**, then Google
   expects **actual stock quantity** through a separate feed called the **Local
   Products Inventory Feed**.
   This feed includes real stock numbers (quantity),
   which is not part of the standard product feed generated by Product Feed Manager.
 * You can create this using our guide here: [How to Create a Google Local Products Inventory Feed](https://rextheme.com/docs/product-feed-for-google-local-products-inventory/)

   Once submitted alongside your main feed, this type of inventory warning usually
   goes away.
 * If you are only selling online (no physical store)Then you **do NOT need to send
   product quantity at all**.
   Google only relies on: availability (in stock / out
   of stock)So your current setup with PFM is already correct.
 * Why do you still see a “limited stock” warningIn e-commerce cases like yours,
   this warning usually comes from how Google interprets the data. The most common
   reasons are:
    1. **Accidental Local Inventory activation: **Sometimes this gets enabled unintentionally.
       Please check:
       – Google Merchant Center → **Settings → Add-ons**– Make sure: **
       Local Inventory Ads **and** Free Local Listings **are disabled
 * 2. **Availability mismatch between feed and website: **Google compares your feed
       with your product page. Example issue:
       – Feed: `in stock`– Website: unclear
       or shows limited/unavailableFix:– Make sure your product page clearly shows “
       in stock.”– Enable **Automatic Item Updates** in: **Tools & Settings → Automatic
       Improvements**
 * 3. **Missing attributes for certain availability types: **If any product is set
       as:`preorder`  or `backorder`
       Then Google requires:`availability_date`Fix: Add
       this attribute to your feed (only if you use those statuses)
 * Final noteFrom what you’ve shared so far, your feed is **not blocking your products**,
   and PFM is sending the required availability data correctly.
   This warning is
   coming from Google’s side, and it evaluates stock signals.
 * Please go through these points in your Merchant Center settings and let me know
   what you find.

 * Hello, thank you for this detailed response. You’re right—my site isn’t a physical
   store, but solely an online shop.
 * So technically, I can leave the products listed on Google this way. They’re just
   marked as “limited stock,” but ultimately, that’s not a big deal since the products
   are still showing up on Google.
 * Next, my second point: I went to Google Merchant Center > Settings > Add-ons,
   and I don’t see “Local Inventory Ads” or “Free Local Ads.” I don’t have those;
   I have “Free Product Listings” and “Promotions.” But maybe “Free Local Ads” =“
   Free Product Listings”?
 * Finally, I have one last question: the feed I created with your plugin is set
   to update once a week. Can you confirm that, as a result, if—for example—during
   the week, I add a product to my store, validate it, and publish it online, will
   Google automatically update and pick up the new product I’ve added to my store,
   or is there something I need to do with the feed itself—like click “refresh”
   or something like that?

 * Hi [@dragondefeu76](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dragondefeu76/),
 * Thanks for your detailed follow-up. You’re asking all the right questions here,
   and kindly excuse the delay in response due to the weekend.
 * **First, just to confirm your understanding:**
   Yes, you can leave things as they
   are. The “limited stock” message is only a warning, not a disapproval. Since
   your products have the green checkmark, they are approved and still showing on
   Google, so there’s no risk of them being blocked. About “Free Product Listings”
   vs Local Inventory
 * Good catch here, and no, they’re not the same:
    - **Free Product Listings** → This is for normal e-commerce (what you’re using)
    - **Free Local Listings / Local Inventory Ads** → These are specifically for
      physical stores
 * Since you don’t see anything related to _Local Inventory_, that means you’re
   fine on this point. Nothing to disable here. About your weekly feed update
 * Your feed is set to update once a week, which means:
    - Any **new products you add during the week will NOT appear in the feed immediately**
    - They will only be included **after the next scheduled feed refresh**
 * So if you add a product today and your feed updates in 5 days, Google will only
   see that product after that update. What you can do
 * You have two simple options:
    - **Option 1 (Fully automatic)**
      Keep the weekly schedule — everything updates
      automatically, just with a delay.
    - **Option 2 (More control)**
      If you want new products to appear faster, you
      can:
    - Manually click **“Refresh Feed”** after adding products or
    - Change the schedule to **daily** instead of weekly
 * I hope you get all the answers you needed and if you need anymore help just let
   us know here.
 * That said, if you are happy with our plugin and support, we would highly appreciate
   it if you leave us a 5-star rating here in the repo. [Link](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/best-woocommerce-feed/reviews/#new-post)

 * Thank you so much for your answers. I’ll leave everything as is—it’s perfect.
 * Just one last question: I assume I shouldn’t delete the plugin, or else the feed
   would stop working, right?
 * I’ve given it a well-deserved 5-star rating. Thanks again.

 * Hi [@dragondefeu76](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dragondefeu76/),
 * You’re absolutely right.
 * If you **delete the plugin**, the feed files will no longer be generated, so
   the **feed link will stop working**.
 * As long as the plugin stays active, your feeds will continue updating as expected.
 * And thank you again for the 5-star rating — really means a lot to us 🙌
