    Hi,

First of all, great plugin I love it. Though I have run into a scenario where I want certain dynamic content to be excluded from caching which is why I turned on ESI, though it seems that it doesn’t work for shortcodes for Elementor templates themselves (not inside the template).

I have a CountDown Timer Pro plugin for Elementor purchased from FlickDevs though their cookie saving of the current countdown time isn’t working. Basically, I’m using the Astra theme and have built the header with Astra Header Builder. Since the Countdown plugin isn’t a WordPress widget I have created a Section template using Elementor. There I’ve added the widget, saved and after copying the shortcode for this Section template pasted it in the ‘HTML2’. The template now shows though since it’s being cached it’s restarting after every page refresh. So I turned on ESI and added ‘esi’ at the start of the template’s shortcode and ‘ttl=”0″‘ at the end ([esi elementor-template id=”723″ ttl=”0″]). Just by adding ‘esi ‘ the template disappears so basically, ESI isn’t working for Elementor Templates.

Am I doing something wrong? FlickDevs up until now still haven’t responded to my Support Ticket and after trying to do research myself doesn’t look like there is a solution at the moment which makes me believe that this is the reason they still haven’t responded.

I believe that this is a caching issue that conflicts with my countdown timer so I resorted to asking a question here then instead.

Thank you in advance for your response!
