# Evolve theme – edit copyright

 * Hi
    I am using the evolve theme. I want to edit the copyright info. I go into
   the footer.php and make a change at the but it does not change it. My test site
   is [http://www.lynksweb.ca/Ambrosia3](http://www.lynksweb.ca/Ambrosia3)
 * Can someone tell me why my copyright is not changing?
    I don’t have a cache plugin
   activated.
 * I also tried to add a footer widget but that is not being added either.
 * Not sure what is stopping these changes. Any ideas?

 * look in customizer area make changes in the section for Footer > Custom Footer
