# example.com vs example.com/home permalink

 * Hi I am new to WordPress and I apologize if I am writing something wrong or inaccurately.
 * I am starting a website hosted on BlueHost and I have a problem with the Homepage.
 * I would like that [http://www.example.com](http://www.example.com) is my homepage,
   but I have no other choice than make a [http://www.example.com/home](http://www.example.com/home)
   as homepage.
 * If i do not do it there is no Homepage on the menu.
 * I tried to edit the permalink of the new homepage to make it simply [http://www.example.com](http://www.example.com),
   in vein.
 * I appreciate any help. Many thanks

 * You can create a Custom link and add it to the Menu. For that you need to go 
   to
    Appearance > Menus There you have options to add Pages, Posts, Custom Link
   and Categories to your Menu.
 * Create a custom Link and add the url you want to direct your user to.
