# example.com/wp-admin not logging in

 * Hi there
 * I am having a strange issue logging in via example.com/wp-admin
 * When I enter _incorrect_ login details it responds as it should, with error messages
   etc. However, if i enter the correct details, it seems to refresh the page and
   I’m back at the login screen with no error messages etc.
 * If I go to example.com/wp-login.php however, everything works and I can login
   fine.
 * Any ideas how to correct this behaviour?

 * Hello, db1500, & welcome to the WordPress support forum. Actually, it’d be really
   helpful if you provided a real site url as opposed to example.com. That way, 
   we can have a look & see if there’s anything that might help us diagnose your
   problem. You also don’t say whether this is a single or a multisite installation.
   which would also be very helpful to know.
 * There are a lot of things that can cause this, including a plugin/theme conflict,
   a plugin that does its own logins, a misconfigured multisite installation, & 
   that’s just getting started. Somehow I suspect a plugin that takes the place 
   of the login dashboard (1 I know that does this is Ultimate Member, but there
   are others). We could much more easily help you troubleshoot this if you provide
   a site url, as well as a list of plugins you’re running.
