Excessive number of processes blocking the site

Hello,
I noticed that while the plugin is backing up the statistics in the CPanel reach the maximum limit:– Number of process: 100%
– Physical Memory Usage: 90.87%
– Entry processes: 83.33%My hosting advised me to contact customer service to fix the problem or to switch plugins. He also wrote me:
“Note that if your account continues generating an excessive number of processes we might be forced to place a restriction on your account, in order to prevent the same from affecting the rest of the clients on the server.”
Since I’ve been using this plugin for a while now, I’d love to change it. So I would like to know if it is possible to fix the problem or if I am forced to change.
