    Hello Tobias!
First of all: I LOVE using Table Press!

I am able to do EXACTLY what I want to do with it except for ONE thing. I use it as a very simple “Upcoming Events” list on my home page for a quick look at upcoming events. A functionality that I would LOVE to have is to set a row (an event) to expire on a certain date.
I have combed through the Table Press support forum and the WP support forum, but have not found this exact topic.
I have also looked at other plugins (mostly calendar and event planning types)but they just don’t hit the mark like Table Press does.

I would happily buy you a cup of coffee (and then some!) if you could help me with this! My site is http://www.stfrancistownsend.org. Take a look and see what you think.

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

For this, you could take a look at a TablePress Extension that I developed for this. For details, please see https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/show-only-future-dates?replies=4#post-6080471

    Regards,

    Hi Tobias,
I tried the extension you mentioned. Downloaded it. Installed it. Edited the shortcode on the page where I want the table to appear – which happens to be my home page and it “broke” my home page. All of the theme formatting went away, all of the widgets went away, the footer went away, the only thing that stayed was the header picture and the menu strip – in the wrong font…. sigh….
I removed the shortcode on the home page and my home page returned to everything it was before….
I am certain that I am doing something wrong – I am a very green WP newby – but I just don’t know what it is. Unfortunately, I have spent way, way, way, too many hours on this and have resigned myself to manually editing the table as the dates expire.
Thank you for your help, and I still LOVE TablePress. Maybe when I work up the nerve to work on this again I will have better luck….

    JoAnne.

    Hi JoAnne,

well that sounds really strange and I have no clue what could have caused this. Most likely something caused a script error there, which lead to the page looking broken.

Sorry for the troubles that this caused 🙁

    Regards,
    Tobias
