# Export Data from Custom Field

 * Hi I am having a hard time finding and exporting data collected from the “Custom
   Field” on the admin dashboard. Even after I “export all”, the data in the custom
   fields were not exported together.

 * I can not see the screenshot, I think it is being blocked.
 * If you are referring to the “Custom Fields” metabox, that data can not be exported
   as-is.
 * I recommend registering each as a custom text field:
    - [https://connections-pro.com/quicktip-custom-field-adding-a-text-field/](https://connections-pro.com/quicktip-custom-field-adding-a-text-field/)
 * The `field_id` would be the value you entered into the `Name` field of the Custom
   Fields metabox.
 * After you have them registered, they will appear in their own box. From here 
   you can register the data to be exported. See the “Export the Field” section 
   in the tutorial.
