# Export file empty?

 * When I try to export my blog via the Export function, the resulting file is empty.
   Whether I select all authors (though I am the only one) or just my name, the 
   result is the same: an empty file.
 * I have had this problem for a long time. I was hoping 2.8 would solve it, but
   it does not.
 * What is the problem?
 * Thanks in advance for your help.

 * The problem was that the PHP.INI file did not have enough time allocated to allow
   the script to complete. Increasing the max timeout limit (by a factor of 10) 
   made the difference.
